  1. from the angle of the shot, i assume you were sitting on the curb with a tin cup in front of you. it’s ok, we’ve all done it.you haven’t lived until you’ve been on the outside looking in..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

  2. You are a genius with a camera. Are you shooting from the hip?

  3. some gris gris, without knowing the nature of the problem: *sprinkle water from your fingertips into the corners of your house three times (luck and money)*circle a healing crystal around your tummy*a half teaspoonful of sugar, a tsp of peppermint & a tsp of grated orange peel in a glass of wine will make him love you forever (careful what you wish for)*cure pain by rubbing sugar, salt, vinegar & hot water over what hurts*keep a black cat’s bone in your pocket, if he is bewitching you..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

  4. oh no, elaine, i couldn’t make this stuff up.the spell i liked best was boil a black cat in a pot, take a walk, and you will meet the devil by the roadside..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

  5. i agree with michael. you *are* a genius with a camera. i especially like the pictures you take of the devil in his bed. and coco. shooting from the hip refers to the unusual angle of the shot. i think you are actually shooting from below the hip. it’s what makes the photo interesting..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

  6. i visited salem massachusetts a few years ago. there’s a little graveyard for the witches. it’s almost charming, except that nineteen of them were hung at the gallows. another had crushing stones placed on him until he died two days later.the sad thing is the ‘witches’ odd behavior (hallucinations, blurred speech and convulsions) may have been caused by ergot poisoning. possibly, they’d been poisoned by a crop of fungus-infested rye..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

  7. Two heads for a NoHead one, cool encounter that speaks of Money 😉

  8. my superficial introduction to voodoo was during a visit to pre-katrina new orleans. the cemetaries are peculiar- most people are buried above-ground in crypts (if buried in the ground, the graves would flood because the city is located below sea level). the crypt containing the remains of marie laveau (a famous practitioner) was decorated with all sorts of gris gris- charms, money, herbs etc..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

  11. yes, true. we all have beliefs, and every belief has its opposite. every light has its shadow. the red devil leaves but he is never gone.seeing both sides of anything is a luxury. everyone is unique because of their beliefs, the choices they make, the sides they take, the balance they choose.it’s said the unexamined life is not worth living.good night elaine.p.s. never go to bed angry. you’ll sleep better..-= Seraphine´s last blog ..<a href="http://encoreseraphine.com/2010/01/09/sugarcoating/“ rel=”nofollow”>Sugarcoating =-.

The last time I took a candid street shot of people, the Police were called and I ended up in a cell with one phone call.Neat shot by the way, it has that wonderful documentary style..-= SOUL AFLAME´s last blog ..<a href="http://soulaflame.aminus3.com/image/2010-01-10.html“ rel=”nofollow”>TIME OF MY LIFE =-.

  14. Hey Elaine, thanks for your message. I’m really sorry to hear about the probs with your other blog. I loved the layout on that one, it always felt very cosy when I visited. No matter though, I will still hurl abuse at you here, ha ha.Sorry I wasn’t in touch, the writing tends to keep me so busy and in my own little world. Oh and that phonecall from my jail cell was to Dominoes for an extra large all meat feast with extra pepperoni….. a man’s gotta think of his stomach you know!.-= SOUL AFLAME´s last blog ..<a href="http://soulaflame.aminus3.com/image/2010-01-10.html“ rel=”nofollow”>TIME OF MY LIFE =-.
