I suddenly thought of the bridal veil, Elaine, and how the original purpose was to hide the bride’s face from the groom. “A veil could also be used to protect the bride from evil spirits, to symbolize the transition from maidenhood to married life, or to show respect and modesty before God.” I find veils of any kind to be mystical and somewhat sobering. I think they ARE meant to stop us dead in our tracks! 🙂
Sometimes it feels just like that. But suddenly it all becomes clear & beautiful. And that’s why I appreciate the veil especially when it looks as beautiful as this, sweet heart. Than it’s love, love, love.
