The Story

He was a philosopher.  Knowing that he possessed no wisdom made him the wisest of all.  Leaving home to wander the streets, he searched for truth and beauty. Being the wisest of all makes one hated.  He was executed by being forced to drink the poison himself.

Hemlock.

One night I was saying to God ‘God, there has to be something better to do than watch TV.’

I hadn’t had a TV in a decade, but was on the verge of buying one.

I realized that I possessed no wisdom!

A perfect opportunity to search for it!

Eureka!

I set about callibrating my mind, what does it mean to have nothing and want it all?   It means a never ending search for truth and beauty.

Sounds like fun doesn’t it?  Sounds like a rich and fulfilling life… doesn’t it?

it’s funny what happened to me

I asked God ‘what do You want me to do?’

and my thoughts jumbled over themselves trying to say ‘search for truth and beauty’

and my thoughts said ‘search for bruth and truety’

i thought ‘bruth and trudy’ sounds like names with a lisp

then it dawned on me, that we used to have a pair of budgies… guess what their names were
