After Christmas
Hubby is my food angel, and he cooks all day on Christmas eve, then cooks half the day on Christmas day, then we eat, oooooh do we eat!
Then the clean up comes, and I do dishes until i can’t take it anymore, then hubby takes over, and when all is said and done, he tosses the green dish towel aside… and i smile when I walk by and see it.
Job well done, baby.
Yours is much like our Christmas dinner Elaine but on a smaller scale…
Penny baked her Christmas cookies during the week before the feast…
We had 13 people for dinner last night and her sons helped prepare the dinner…
Some of the ladies helped wash and dry the pots and pans and load the dishwasher…
Rylee even climbed up on the door of the dishwasher to make sure that there wasn’t too much gravy left on the plates… picture to follow…
then we chatted for a while and by 8:00 most of them were on their way home with full bellies and the grandkids piles of gifts…
it was another special year…
Penny and ….peter:)
lol i can’t wait to see the picture of Rylee! glad you guys had a nice Christmas 🙂
I used to cook but my Kim is such a great cook that my cooking is an embarrassment.
well, i never cooked, coz it’s worse than an embarrassment lol… lately i’ve been throwing beans and rice in the crockpot, but hubby always has to rescue the outcome 🙂
YAY for Hubby doing the cooking. I know that delights you to no end. I have grown to enjoy cooking but I do it more to live than vice versa. I’m much more willing to clean up afterwards.
yes my husband is my ‘food angel’ he has a real gift from God with food, where as i was standing behind the door when God was handing out ‘thou shalt be a great cook’ gifts 🙂
And your are the gift given to your food angel. All the cooking ain’t worth without a good eater, someone who appreciate the angel.
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
we make a good pair in that way, i’m incapable with food and he’s an angel.. who could appreciate him more??
