My Parents
This is my parents’ wedding picture. you can see where i get my good looks from 🙂 my mother died a couple years ago of pancreatic cancer, and my dad died a few months ago… and in the last week, as we finalized the estate, i have plunged into a pit of depression… if you can avoid losing your parents, I recommend it.
Since I'm a veteran of the experience of losing parents, I can identify with your feelings and that sense of loss. It all stretches the heart strings. I can tell you that a parent is more than pleased to pass things on to a child. In your case, it was good looks. (In my case, well, we are still working on what that legacy might be. It certainly wasn't their good looks.) I really like the hand-painted photo of your parents. Love that vintage look, your mother's hairstyle, and your dad's wide lapels. They ARE good looking people. Thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry for your loss of both parents, Elaine, even though it's inevitable for us all. I remember after Dad died and then Mom, the shock we all had of realizing there was no one left of the older generation. We were now it! The passage of time does help, even though it may not feel like it now. Take care of yourself and grieve well.
I lost my father when I was 3 years old. I remember him and still think of him often. My mother died 9 years ago so she was the one I really grieved for. I found that thinking of the beauty of her life helped me with the loss of her. She made me what I am and still lives in me. I guess that sounds corny but it is true.
They are beautiful ! And so does your processing !
Digging through old photographs brings thema back. That helps. At least for me after loosing my father. And I tell you he was just 54. And I think he was much better looking than I ever will be. Good memories stay as well as the love for those who left will always reamain in our hearts, my dear! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
yep, they look good.. 😀 so sad to hear that though.. i still have both, but i guess you could just find something else to keep you busy to keep your mind off depression..?

you're a combination of them both. stay busy – it helps.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Elaine. Although my parents are getting older, I am still so lucky to have them both…I can't imagine what you must be going through. *hugs*
