far away and really quiet

February 24, 2014 Elaine-

I want to run. My comfy chair is chipping away at the wall behind me, in order to help me to escape, sort of like “The Shawshank Redemption”. But I’m no longer biding my time. I want to get away, so badly my heart is beating out of my chest in order to run ahead, show me the way. To a safer place, a kinder place, gentler… Everywhere I go there is something I want to run away from. Does anybody know the way out?

I don’t know the way out, dear. I know the way to my safer place, to my kinder place cause it leads me here to you. Every time. And that is all that counts while we’re looking out on that horizon with far away eyes. I will no longer run. I will take the short way home, Elaine. To a safer place. To a kinder place.

All the best & safe travels, my poetess, Fritsch.

The mind runs when the body cannot. The only way out is “through.” A wonderfully captured photo. The pensive atmosphere is tangible. Nice…
