Like a drunk in a midnight choir.
That is one of my favourite songs by one of my absolute favourite poet/singers. I have listened to him since the 1970.
I remember seeing Leonard Cohen in a weird little movie theatre once, and i thought i might walk up and kick him in the shin… but i thought better of it, and decided that telling the story of ALMOST kicking leonard in the shins would be just as good a story lol it’s not…
beautiful work, Elaine. and a beautiful song for humble people like us.
oh! thank you, Francis! i’m not sure if i’m humbled or shattered… great comment, xoxoxox
I like your use of silhouette. The song is poignant. Friendship
thanks, sis… friendship… that version of the song is certainly better than Leonard Cohen’s! lol
so beautifully composed and i like the single bird
thank you, my dear… the bird looks so lonely and cold in the picture… or perhaps i’m projecting 🙂
