Plastic Covered Memories

do you remember? people who used to leave the plastic covers on their lamps?
and they covered their couches in plastic?

things may be bizarre now, but think back to the clothing we wore in the 70s lol

  1. I do remember how uncomfortable it was to sit on plastic covered furniture. I kind of liked my 70s wardrobe. 😉 Friendship

    1. well, some people dressed ok in the 70s lol like Cher 🙂 xoxoxoxoxox

  2. I never saw those plastic covers except on television. I wonder what people fifty years from now will say is strange about the way we live these days. Maybe everything?

    1. yes, 50 years from now, we will be a laughing stock lol xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

  3. yes, i knew of a few people who left the plastic on items you mention and recall thinking, “how stupid”. i really don’t know what they thought they were accomplishing. what’s the point of having the item if you can’t enjoy it? cool shot, cool observation.

    1. yes, if you can’t enjoy it! i think they just thought they were prolonging the life of it lol it WAS stupid lol xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

  4. I still have a jean jacket from the 70s. It is nearly 50 years old. Totally unwearable but I keep it for some reason.
Plastic covered couches were a treat to sit on. It seems that nearly everyone had a grandmother with them. And the occasional plastic covered grandfather.

    1. haha, they were TERRRRIBLE to sit on, especially in shorts lol
i think the only thing i have left from my childhood is a few books
i keep them, it’s nice to have some old things, for romantic continuity 🙂

  5. Hmm, I do not remember those things…but when I look at some pictures of the ’70s it seems me we were all looking a little …strange…clothes, haircut, …but I’m sure those where good times…I was young enough…but I did not know it was a special time…only understood it decades later LOL

    1. seems every decade was special in the last century… but by the time you get to the 2000s things just started staying the same lol 2000s, 2010s, 2020s people started not changing
