Mirror by Sylvia Plath
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever I see, I swallow immediately.
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike
I am not cruel, only truthful –
The eye of a little god, four-cornered.

Exceptional shades of grey in this image. So many different scenes in one capture. Very nice:-)
You always have interesting shots. I like this perspective.Did you check out my Friday blog entry?? You should!!
very nice shot Elaine! and great processing! 😀
So many layers of lives and thoughts. I love all these different perspectives, like compartmentalizing everything, keeping it all in place. Your tones are fantastic Elaine. Love this one 🙂
gorgeous and quite surreal — you could shots like this for an intriguing book thriller!!! 🙂 beautiful toning! i agree w/ BC!! 🙂
Wow this is quite clever indeed!! I really like it;_)
like the atmospher here, a classic shot through the mirror, also I like the bridge in the end.
Wow, love the mirror shot, nice perspective and tones!
Very cool!
Wow, what a great dof, original shot and perfect composition, I like colours too. Good one
superbe idée, cette photo
Very nice and lovely shot !
This perspective is quite amazing ! Great shot with a nice treatment too ;D
la photo n’a pas trop d’intérêt par son sujet mais c’est bel exercice de style par le cadrage et le traitement vraiment très réussi
So symbolic!
The Sylvia Plath poem is so perfectly paired with this image. Love how you’ve seen and captured this. So simple..and so good!
What a great composition. Layers of spaces. I also like the muted tones. Very cool, I collect it.
cracking shot Elaine! Love the processing
Nice shot, really like all the different elements you have gotten in this shot. Did you have to drive around a bit to capture only one car in the mirror?Great tones too.As usual lovely processing, well done
Super. I like the processing which adds really interest to this fine image.
getting quite creative in the framing department.. 🙂 i like the selective focus and the processing too.. this looks cool! great shot! 🙂
Interesting that this should carry two different perspectives (counting the frame of the mirror as a second) without a human subject. But there’s a wonderful presence here, of *being*. In a way it reminds me of the first-person shooter videogames, Half Life and F.E.A.R. You, the photographer aren’t visible – despite referencing yourself – yet your presence is very much there. I like this alot, it makes great cinema, I think, if that isn’t too pretentious. 🙂
Great shot! Like mysterious reflexion, well composed. SwissCharles
Interesting atmosphere! Because of the tones it makes me think the photo taker is a detective from an old movie and is on a stakeout!
Did you shoot this one with your new camera? I’m guessing you did. The pastel hues are fantastic. I especially like the pink around the bridge.:-)
WOW what an interesting capture, so many different things to see different perspectives as well, this is so cool
Awesome shot Elaine!! But I bet there is someone asleep in that car. 🙂
I love the color, the framing, and the tones. Great work
It’s easy to get lost here.. – excellent concept and fine toning – so, let’s get lost 😉
I love this metllic bronze/gray color, it’s a nice concept.
such clarity… the busy foreground goes well with the simple reflection…
Don’t watch too much “Cheaters”.
great “hdr” Effect and color tones!I like it a lot!
Well spotted! You just never know what you’ll see looking behind – do you?
Very cool. 🙂
Lovely shot, nice idea, the tones are outstanding. Love the processing 🙂
I love your creativity on this shot. Goes to show how much a rearview mirror can do =)
great framing and postprocessing
Wonderfull post processing work .. What pp do you use?
Way cool photo. Kind of has a spy feeling, doesn’t it?
