Did I ever tell you I worked at Starbucks for 2 months, Elaine…a year and a half ago, before I knew what I was gonna do with my life! It’s one of the only companies that gives health insurance to employees after 3 months of service. Most companies require a year! Anyway, this does bring back mem’ries!
Nice processing on this. I had to laugh when I saw it; it reminds me that I have been carrying around a gift card to Starbucks for a while now, trying to remember to give it to somebody that likes to go there.
I can smell the coffee & it soothes like staring hypnotized at this beauty of yours. Your colours & contrasts drive me crazy, Elaine. It’s like reaching out & feel the light, the warmth & the spring. Great photograph, my dear! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
Very apt as I’m over in your back yard right now, E. Well, BC at least. There’s a Starbucks on every frigging corner out here! Good job I love their Caramel Machiattas and blueberry muffins isn’t it. Ha ha
No! Fight the power, support your local independently owned coffee house. Death to corporate overlords! I like how you made a ubiquitous perfectly ordinary sign quite interesting with your processing.
Super cool shot and processing, I would be heading the opposite direction, I cannot stand the smell of Coffee
pricey!! XD i’m sticking to my home brew.. lol! nice catch! 🙂
i could die for a slice of their pumpkin bread.also, i like the itunes free pick of the week cards.they keep me coming back more than the coffee.
Creative compo around the ad., love your colors, always creating, with your light, personal paintings*

And always this personal touch which sublimates your pictures! Bravo Elaine!
Love the glow!! Amazed at how you can take a perfectly ordinary sign..and transform it into something ‘different’. Excellent!!!

I make better coffee at home but I guess Starbucks works when I am caught out and need a fix.You have your super colours going here.
would you like some fries with that?
That sounds good right now. We’re having a spring rain and it would really hit the spot. Love the colors in this.
What? Is it down some alley or something? Isn’t the large, ubiquitous "Starbucks" sign above the window enough advertising for them?
