  1. Pickled pink, nice

  2. Perfect. That should set things straight! By the way, I think it’s a great photo. 🙂

    1. well, I’m not sure what kind of photo it is, as i couldn’t even think of a title

    2. I can’t say anything about it all, not even a title… as if i was trying to immitate him, which i don’t do with my photography, and it’s not my fault that people compare us… as you can see in this picture, when i TRY to immitate him, i fail to look like me OR eggleston… which is kind of odd.. don’t you think? i mean i could do it on purpose and THEN people wouldn’t say i was like eggleston haha, could be a new and exciting area to explore 🙂

      1. Whatever you do, it’s always going to be you. Even when you try to imitate Egglestone. It might be different than your usual photo, but it’s still you. 🙂

      2. yeah and it would be too much work to try and be something i’m not… i’m not up to it 🙂

      3. And why should you?

      4. yes, i don’t think eggleston worked hard at what he was anymore than i do… there is a quote by him: ‘i don’t have a burning desire to go out and document anything. it just happens when it happens. it is not a conscious effort, nor is it a struggle, wouldn’t do it if it was’

      5. We all have to find our own way. I certainly have to force myself at times. 🙂

      6. YOU do, but not peeps like me and eggles lol… once our photographic education was installed it was party time 🙂 you on the other hand are always bettering yourself

      7. I am not sure about, though…

      8. well, you are a teacher of the art, you have to keep bettering yourself and thinking on what is good and fine

  3. I like the shot no matter what Eggleston would say.

    1. I’m not sure he would say anything lol

  4. You could have titled this “Untitled,” since one of Eggleston’s works is “Untitled, Memphis, 1970” (https://www.sfmoma.org/artwork/85.649). HA! Well, the guy is 76 and has seen a lot of water go under his bridge. I guess we wouldn’t appreciate B&W photography as much if we never saw color photography as a legitimate artistic medium?!

    1. yeah that pic of the tricycle bugs me coz it’s better than my tricycle pic haha… but he is eggleston, whereas i’m only elaine.

  5. Damn, I love the way you keep blowing my mind, my dear. And who needs Egglestone when you can have Elaine 😉

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

    1. i think people mostly prefer eggleston haha but thank you 🙂

      1. I always felt more individual. And I prefer YOU 🙂

      2. **shneebloink** xoxoxox

  6. Look! It’s a genuine Elaine! (Did that help with the dissociation?) 🙂 You are you and you do what you do in the way that you do it when you want to do it and if you want to do it. Remember?

    1. oh yeah, Phil, I’m meeeeee, I think I do need to be reminded of that every now and then 🙂 seriously tho lol
