July 19, 2017 Elaine-

Remember the flower buds we were guessing over? Well, the flowers finally showed themselves, but I still don’t know what they are 🙂 they are very top heavy and we have them propped up with sticks!

I’ll have to ask Astrid what they are because we have some about a block away from us that we see all the time. I’ll let you know if I find out. They’re lovely.

Whatever they are, the flowers are gorgeous – as is your photo. I just love the off colours.

Thank you, Michael, now i know… there are some people across the street with tall flowers that look exactly the same, but are on branches, not the green flimsy stalks that ours are on… weird.

The fire came to about 2 km away but has backed off. The garden is going to be a mystery until we gat home. Some things will be fine. Some things – it is wait and see.

Well you finally found the secret garden, my dear. Let’s drown in beauty, walk barefoot & roll on the fresh green. And paradise will follow I’m sure.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
