As you probably know, the color was often added to those older photos. They have a nice rendering though and are very attractive. I’m glad you and your mother made peace. By the way, I think I see that your eyes look like hers. 🙂
yes, i was very good at colourizing and restoring black and white photos, by hand, back when i took my photography course of study…. i wasn’t very good at getting along with my mother tho lol she was a piece of work!
believe it or not, i look more like my dad lol… they kind of had the same eyes, and my dad had a short nose, and my mom a long nose… my little brother looks like my mom, and i look like my dad in a wig lol
well, the rule of thumb is that the first girl favors the father’s family and the first boy favors the mother’s family, so your family has proven the rule
hehe, i’ve never heard that rule… very interesting 🙂
my dad had a sister, and i saw a picture of her when she was young, and we looked identical!! 🙂
nice shot (of a nice shot – i think). i find it fascinating how the hairdo gives that dated look here.
probably in the 1950s or something like that… i liked the way marilyn monroe rocked that sort of hairstyle 🙂 thanks, Ayush! xox
A classic old portrait! None of our mothers were perfect. Neither was I. We learn as we go along. Friendship
yes, we made peace with each other in the months before her death… all’s well that ends well xoxoxox
