Christopher Robin

“It’s snowing still,” said Eeyore gloomily. “So it is.” “And freezing.” “Is it?” “Yes,” said Eeyore. “However,” he said, brightening up a little, “we haven’t had an earthquake lately.”

  1. Lovely shot…really like the quiet beauty of the moment.

  2. Looks like he is absorbed in the moment, studying something. Nice grainy look.

  3. There’s a feeling of cognitive memory being recalled here. A memory in time replayed in slow motion and black and white. Love this

  4. Pooh is so sweet. Matthew used to watch it all the time when he was a toddler. Love the image you put with it. Wonderful portrait.

  5. The favourite book of my childhood. It was the first one I’ve read in my life. And your image brings back the mood so perfectly. Funnily it was yesterday when I mentioned my elder daughter that she should read that as I’ve read it at least a 100 times. But she’s rather with Harry, she’s read that series a dozen times at least (which is a great job considering the length of those books for a 10 year old – and yes, I’m also fond of those books) That’s a perfect image, I love that you left so much empty space above the boy’s head – emphasizing him being a little kid.

  6. Love your processing on this shot. Brings out the emotion of the boy. =D

  7. great mood and beautiful expression on his face

  16. He certainly seems lost in the moment, a beautiful capture and processing, but in todays day and age I have to wonder if he is texting or playing a little game console LOL

  18. having read the title, i now subconsciously think of this kid as christopher robin.. i like the b&w grainy feel you’ve applied to this one.. 🙂 nice shot..

  20. The faded and noisy black and white really works on this image. Its like a fading memory!

  21. Has a grainy delicacy that is very appealing. Good work, Elaine.

  22. I adore the processing of Your pictures. This portrait just gains on this. He is exquisite in his lack of expressiveness, he generates questions, he propels… Bravo Elaine!
