White Christmas

December 19, 2008 Elaine-

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

Irving Berlin 1942

Reminds me of the countless occasions I lift a video camera or SLR to snap the family playing in the snow, and someone lobs a snowball at me, or a snowflake falling on the lens to blure the image, making it more ethereal.Well, this has really got me feeling Christmassy now (not that I needed any prompting ha ha)Nice photograph, Elaine

Where the mist obscures the curiosity follows. So what’s under the fog? Love the snow on the branches.

A beautiful winter and seasonal picture Elaine. It’s snowing here in PA as I’m typing. Tomorrow I plan on hiking the Falls Trail if it stops snowing. This is a gorgeous Christmas picture, really love it. You changed your site again. I like this design the best. Great job!

Never snows here, dammit. We just get ice. Can’t say that I like the text on it, but the photo itself is great. I’ve never seen a White Christmas but I’ve lived in places that it actually snowed and this evokes some fond memories.

Wish it snowed like that where I live. I like the foggy sort of look into the distance, it’s really cool.
