Paved Paradise

These two bebes crossed in front of our car on the way home from the RV, a small mother and her even smaller baby fawn with polka dots on it’s back…
I’ll tell you one thing for free; it’s a good thing that i LIKE blurry photos 🙂

  1. HA! So because I know Hubby took this (right?), that means he’s not supposed to have blurry images, right? Only YOU??!! 😀

    1. yes, only i am allowed to have blurry photos lol i invented it… spread the word lol… i was just discussing this with Otto lol

  2. It’s a good thing for the rest of us. We would all be poorer without your blurry vision. Thank you for another beautiful blurry image. Besides, I hear you!

    1. awwww, Otto… yes, i’m a woman of bad vision lol well, you helped… when i came to you way back when, scared to post blurry pictures, your kindness helped me to have the courage… 🙂

  3. How about that? I saw a momma deer and her fawn today, too! They were a good distance away and I was at speed on the highway, so–no photos. Seeing this in the “wild” is always a special thing. Your photo is impressionistic and calls my many dear deer sightings to mind. I like the “painterly” quality; it lets the mind run.

    1. yeah? you saw some too?? how sweet, isn’t it?? I was so ticked that my camera couldn’t take a pic, so out came hubby’s cell phone… so this is really really cropped close and that painterly quality is just what happened, i just wish i could have seen the fawn better, with the sweet little white spots on it’s back 🙂
and yes, it is a very special thing, like a little piece of heaven came to visit 🙂

  4. i hope they are not disoriented, Elaine. more than blurry, i actually get a feeling of this being done in crayons, which i like a lot.

    1. lol i will go stick it to the fridge with a magnet lol… maybe i should be using the phone for a camera more often! 🙂 thanks for the smile, Ayush!

  5. this is lovely, elaine

a week or so ago, my husband took our 4-year-old grandson into a Home Depot and while they were there a little fawn with spots ran into the store, skidded around on the slick concrete and landed at our grandson’s feet. poor little fawn picked itself up and ran to the back of the store. authorities were called and i don’t even want to know what happened.

your image reminds me of how the deer are sometimes confused by people and climate changes to their habitat

    1. oh my heavens!! The poor baby!! I don’t want to think about what happened either! I love animals so much, it hurts how much trouble they are in, in our world.
